  2. Lovely lily of the valley-another cool weather flower that does not do well here as it is too hot. And love the pink magnolias too.

    1. Actually that's a piers japonica bush. The blooms are reminiscent of lily of the valley though.

    1. They're from our piers japonica bush. It's a great shrub - stays green all winter and has clusters of these blooms in spring.

  24. The snow has hung around much too long up here - at least the brown grass is reemerging, so I still await, and have hope for, colorful flowers as these...sooner than later. Happy SPring!

    1. Actually these are early blooms from our neighbor's deciduous magnolia. I'd never noticed how reminiscent they are of tulip tree blooms.

  28. Can't wait until my neighborhood starts looking like this! Still too earlly for flowers in Minnesota, but I've been running around in the USA's Southwest states and there are lots of flowers there.

  51. Pretty double hellebore with the spotted petals, I'm still waiting to find one. I have a tiny Pieris, I hope it can get big enough to bloom soon. So nice to see your lovely spring flowers, everyone's are a little different.
