Ok, I got it after looking at the picture sequence carefully. I am not the biggest baseball fan but still know the rules (at least, that is what I think). Great photos as always!
I love photographing sports. So much of the image depends on being in the right place at the right time, and you only get one opportunity to get it right. These are some very nice images of the double play and being down the first base line is exactly the best place to be for this capture. Well done.
Great timing on those photos. I can't get action shots very well. How funny is that? I can take clear photos of tiny little things, but can't get my dogs to not be blurry! lol
No, this is a minor league game. The team making this great play is the Durham Bulls, and the player making the double play is Hak-Ju Lee, the shortstop.
Although I've learned to appreciate college football through my wife's family, baseball is still my favorite sport. I have fond memories of going to games with him as a child. Blessings!
That was an impressive capture of a thrilling event! Fans always love a double play when it's by their own team ;) Thanks for joining us on Oh My Heartsie Girl Wordless Wednesday!
The umps can ask you for replays! Great shots. Thank-you for taking the time to faithfully leave me a personal comment on the WWs that I post. That is so sweet. You are on my excel sheet list to always check out your blog for WWs, Lord willing. Again, thank-you for hosting.

Sue, these are wonderful shots, and what a wonderful linkup you are running here! I, unfortunately, don't have adequate internet access to participate reciprocally, but I so appreciate the offer to be involved in a weekly link-up that looks so fun and successful!

ReplyDeleteLet me think about this sport...
ReplyDelete...football, basketball or even rhythmic gymnastics??? ;-)
...
--> Got it - Baseball!
Why ever - it's of absolutely no importance on the other side of the Big Pond! So nearly unknown (and therefore) unpopular in whole Europe...
No harm meant! ;-)
Uwe.
That's OK - we feel the same way about rugby and cricket and the other unfathomable games you like on your side of the pond!
DeleteGreat capture Sue, the drama is all there to see! Doesn't matter really if its minor or 'big leagues', you can see it meanst the world to the players
