I must admit I'd want to wrap these kids up in bubble wrap smeared with a thick coating of disinfectant before allowing them such close personal contact with the pigeons, but perhaps I'm just letting my inner squeamishness out to play! At any rate, they had lots of fun!
I can certainly understand how you felt about these children with the pigeons. Great pics tho! Have a fabulous week.
ReplyDeleteIt's a pigeon party. That's for sure!
ReplyDeleteI do have fun watching pigeons. They were a delight when we were in Assisi. They wandered around undaunted! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThey do seem to be enjoying themselves.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures with lots of hungry birds !!
ReplyDeleteGreetings
Lol...I'm the same way!!
ReplyDeleteHello, Sue! I know what you mean about being in such close proximity with pigeons. My daughter calls them "flying rodents". The children did look like they were having fun, however. I just hope they washed their hands afterward! ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of pigeons!
ReplyDeleteThose kids look like they are having the greatest fun. So many pigeons!
ReplyDeleteYah, I am not sure I could let my kids play with pigeons, but I bet they had a blast. Sometimes we just have to back off as parents. I bet this will be one of there favorite memories. It great that you captured it.
ReplyDeletevery nice all these birds.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
best regards susa from Germany
I have never heard of a Pigeon park, I think I have one, I started feeding the little birds, then the quail, then the doves, and then followed the pigeons. Got to be to much, so now I only use a feeder and limit it to one spot.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting, hope you have a great week!

Like them in pictures, but pigeons kind of creep me out, germ wise...but that's more about my issues than facts.
ReplyDeleteI agree. They are poopy birds but you got some good pictures!
ReplyDeleteThat's what I call pigeontastic a bit like Trafalgar Square here :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat photos... I have five white doves visit my garden daily. I've fed them for over a year now and would miss them terribly if they didn't visit.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea who owns them, but obviously they like my top grade sunflower heart seeds!
Thanks for hosting... waving from a snowy Bonnie Scotland!
Hi! The kids look very fun. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLot of pigeons there.Seems like a great place for kids to enjoy feeding and watching pigeons.
ReplyDeleteThat is a Lot of pigeons! When I was little (early '60s), the family vacationed near Atlantic City, and on that famous Boardwalk, there were pigeons everywhere - and we fed them Spanish peanuts that Grandpa bought at the nearby Peanut store. They ate from our hands and none of the kids got sick. That was then :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute, I can understand where you are coming from. Great photos.
ReplyDeletehahaha... That's exactly what I will be thinking whenever Little One is playing with pigeons.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures of pigeons and little girl.
ReplyDeletepigeon party :-) great shots !
ReplyDeleteMy son loves "chasing" pigeons, even now, when he is older than your kids. Kids plays are the same everywhere in the world.
ReplyDeleteWow lots of pigeons, they love their food :)
ReplyDeleteYes, all over the World are pigeons, the peace bird by Picasso... :) Fantastic captures.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Heidrun
ha,ha, Sue, I agree with you - (smearing children with a thick coating of disinfectant). it surely looks like fun, both for the children as for you having photos.
DeleteThat's a lot of pigeons! The pottery is stunning!
ReplyDeleteSo cute, I hope those kids had nice long baths afterward!
ReplyDeleteI am not the pigion type. But the children had a good time! Thanks for hosting me. Groetjes, Hetty
ReplyDeleteVery nice all that pigeons! Beautiful fotos!
ReplyDeleteHappy ww and thanks for hosting,
best - Joana

I believe that playing with the pigeons is going to be a memory they'll treasure for years to come. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteLOL! As I looked at the photos, I thought the same thing about disinfectant. But then my inner child emerged and said, "WHAT FUN!"...:)JP
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, you're definitely not the only one who feels that way.. :p
ReplyDeleteWhao so many pigeons. I would be paranoid to see so many in the same place.
ReplyDeleteGreat images, running kids and pigeons, a perfect combination for pictures!
ReplyDeleteI would feel the same way! Great shots, though.
ReplyDelete:-)

It does look like fun! As long as their parents make them wash their hands afterwards, they'll be fine.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid that's too many birds for my comfort zone. Nice images though.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link-up Sue. I don't like to see so many pigeons. if only people would take an interest in wildlife rather than "tamelife".
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a lot of pigeons ! Nice for kids ! Less for cars !
ReplyDeletethe kids look so happy with the birds :) lovely :)
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome but scary at the same time. It's like going into the Lego store at the mall and watching all the kids from all over dive into the buckets of lego's and I can just see the germs spreading. lol.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
they are indeed having fun with the pigeon :). but it can be a bit tricky sometimes for the kids who are afraid of them..
ReplyDeleteI love watching birds...from a distance. I had a pigeon land on my head when I was in NYC; it freaked me out a little.
ReplyDeleteFeed the birds.... great shots! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWay back when I was a child in rural Washington State we played in pastures, chicken coops and barns (much to the irritation of our mothers who were trying to keep us clean) -- I can assure you that decades later I am alive and well and I suspect the memories these wee ones have of playing with the birds will be with them for decades as well. . .
ReplyDeleteOh, I remember visiting this park when I was little and we had so much fun feeding the pigeons/doves.
ReplyDeleteThank you for bring such a nice memory back to me.
Have a nice week!
They are fabulous shots, but yeah - agreed. I don't think I'd get too close either. And if my kids touched, they would get a bottle of that hand sanitize poured all over them.
ReplyDeleteMy skin is crawling just looking at the kids with the pigeons.
ReplyDeleteI am from Puerto Rico and remembered how much my siblings and I loved this park when we where kids (except when we were pooped by the pigeons, happened very often). I will think it twice before going now.
ReplyDeletePigeons are not my favourite bird and they make so much mess! However, little kids just like the have fun and you've captured this well.
ReplyDeleteSo much fun!
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of all the pigeons in Home Alone 2...lol! I've always wanted to feed birds from my hand and be so close to them, and it happened when I went to Dalian, China of all places. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of pigeons! You got some great shots Sue!
ReplyDeleteWe have many happy memories of our boys chasing and feeding pigeons on holidays when they were young. They seem to have survived the experience - lol.
ReplyDeleteOh what fun for the kids- I imagine some might become future bird lovers!
ReplyDeleteSue, when I worked downtown I loved feeding the pigeons that visited Market Square Mall. It was a delight to see how close they'd land to get a few nibbles, but they knew to keep their distance. Great share and memories. Thanks for linking with me and I'm sorry for the slow return visit. Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteLovely place! Pigeons always attract many children who feed them with delight.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining the Travel Tuesday meme. Hope to see you there again this week!
