Mum's the word at Longwood Gardens
I was amazed at the display of chrysanthemums at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Who knew you could make a huge globe full of mums? Who knew there was so much variety? And who thought up bonsai chrysanthemums, which completely fascinated me!

Happy Veteran's Day
We stopped at a rest area on the interstate (I-40) in Warsaw, NC. I was perplexed to see a Howitzer on the lawn not all that far from the "facilities". I had to go over and read about it. A nice idea, but still a strange location to my mind.
