Milkweed visitors

We planted milkweed seeds in hopes of attracting monarch butterflies, but it seems they're a hit with a wide variety of insects!

  2. It certainly attracts the insects. Here's hoping for Monarchs. I guess that this is the non-native milkweed. We have catnip which the Bumblebees really love.

  18. Milkweed is a beautiful plant but I understand the native varieties (pink flowers and I love their scent) can be aggressive growers. So I decided my small yard couldn't host them - thank you for sharing yours! Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

  19. I planted milkweed for the first time, but the heat has dried it up. And everything else. I didn't realize it is so pretty.
