This brings up memories of my father reading to me-- Thornton Burgess "Bedtime Stories" featuring Peter Rabbit, Jimmy Skunk and Grandfather Frog (etc.). Even after I learned to read I pretended that I could not, as I so enjoyed having Dad do it.
