A weekly photo linkup
Superb photos. Love the diversity in nature but I'm glad most of them aren't in my backyard. I'm very skittish around bees, hornets and spiders.
Wonderful pictures !!! How nice to observe nature up close !!Greetings
Even if I don't like most of those creatures with 6 or more (*aargh*) legs, they look fantastic in closeup views. Your pictures are really great!Birgit from Austria
What great shots! You inspired me to write a wordless post at once.I'll be back to add my link!Greetings, Frauke

Those are some super pics. Love them. Wow. Really cool.
Those are great pictures, perfect focus. Your #6 bug looks like a leaf footed bug nymph. A bad guy.
Nice and cool shots!Britta
Very beautiful photos. Love the extreme close-ups.
Oh wow! Impressive photos. Incredible that you got these. I tried to photograph some insects this weekend and failed miserably. I am most attracted by the eyes. They are so shiny.
Hi Sue,Congrats on your amazing images. Otherworldly indeed! The closeups are shimmering bright. OMG,the dragonfly and its shadow is marvelous. You've got the expertise. Thanks!
I wish I had your talent for photography. Today we say dozens of beautiful, purple dragon-fly like insects at the Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau, Alaska. I didn't even try to get a photo but I wish I had been able to.
These are such amazing captures!!
Great shots!! I wish I could manage this but they are too fast for me :) I love the dragonfly... so amazing.

The last bug has stunning pattern
Fantastic macros of these insects, Sue! It's amazing how beautiful they are up close.
Beautiful bug shots. That reminds me I have to see if my bee shots turned out or not, but you've set the bar high for a good BIF (bee in flight ;p)
Excellent close up! I doubt my camera can take such details!
What great images, I'm going to have to show my children so they can be inspired too!
These are beautiful Su, they look like dragons or some other mystical beast when you get up so close to them. Beautiful bugs!

gorgeous!trish - tales from trish
Look at those insects..They look wonderful in your photos. Love it...and the colors...niceee :)
I was leaving a comment this morning and got interrupted. I love your macros of all these insects. They look so interesting close up--love the cicada's red eyes!PS: Thankfully we did not see any bears in the park we walked in! I believe it would be too busy a place for bears to stay in during the day, but I would not be surprised if they came by at night to look for food in the picnic areas!
Thank you very much!
I looooooooove all of these! Insects are so cool. :D Awesome post!
Fantastic...such vibrant colors♪
What an amazing series of insects. The moth with folded wings on the daisy is gorgeous!
Great macro shots! You got some great ones here. I haven't been quite so lucky since getting my macro lens last summer. I really hoped this spring would provide an opportunity to use it, but my timing was off. Oh well...maybe I will have good luck finding the right instance to use it heavily. Have a fototastic week!My recent post...Gnarled Tree #WW
