The teapot show @ Cedar Creek Pottery

I have a soft spot for pottery, and Cedar Creek Pottery in Creedmore NC is one of my favorite places to go to see a wide variety - both useful and fanciful. Their wares include blown glass, jewelry, metalwork, and a host of other works of art. Their annual teapot show focuses more on the fanciful and fantastic as you will see from a few of this year's submissions.

A first for me.

So I was curious and seized the opportunity to go to a drag show. I have to say it was fun. Sadly, some of the drag queens were looking better than me!

Remembering the attack on our nation

How could we ever forget? And I will always be proud of the way our people pulled together. I pray we can begin to do so once again. Too long have our people been divided.

Some Capital photos

While we were in Charleston, West Virginia, we had the opportunity to walk around the state capital ground. They were beautifully maintained and the dome of the capital is a stunning site, especially when viewed against a beautiful blue sky and lit by the sun.

This was taken just before a very dramatic thunderstorm - I barely had time to get back to "home base".

I don't know the meaning of the symbols on the dome - I guess it's time for some research!
