ReplyDeleteIve never heard of that place. Did it feel spiritual or historical?
ReplyDeleteBoth.
DeleteIt's very difficult to describe what this trip meant to me. It was the most amazing experience of my life.

ReplyDeleteLook majestic
ReplyDeleteBeyond amazing that those stones are so old and that the village was rediscovered 600 years later. And the ruins of St. Peter's house, the little Catholic girl in me is giddy? Very cool.
ReplyDeleteThis place takes us back to the time of the Lord. Amazing!
ReplyDeletethank you for taking us to this amazing historical place that I may never visit. Amazing the history that goes back so far, and that they built new buildings on top of existing foundations.
ReplyDeleteAgain, such beautiful photos of historic places. I know that it must have been a very moving experience to visit all of these wonderful places.
ReplyDeleteIt was moving and meaningful and a whole lot of adjectives that don't do the experience justice.
DeleteI never heard of Caphernaum before. Is it currently inhabited or is it just an historical site?
ReplyDeleteIt is mentioned in the New Testament, but is not a "working city" now. There are some archeologists who have explored the ruins there, and there are some monks who live on site to preserve and protect it. But it has been many years since it was a city in which people lived and worked.
DeleteSo cool to see these places you toured in Israel!
ReplyDeleteVery impressive building!
ReplyDeleteI was too early with linking in the previous post.
Now again and thanks for sharing.
