These photos were taken about 10 days ago at the height of our pollen season, when everything and everyone is coated yellow from the pine pollen. At times the pollen will be so thick in the air that it looks like smoke as far as the eye can see!
Cars leave tracks in the pollen! |
Wow!!!
ReplyDeleteWow!!!
ReplyDeleteYes... I agree with you. And washing the Windows is wasted time too 😂😉🙋♀️
ReplyDeleteWish you a very good week. Stay healthy and well, dear Blogfriend.
We also have a po;;en season...more towards the end of May. It coats our windowsills and blows in the air.
ReplyDeleteWould be terrible for allergy sufferers but the views can be incredibly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank You
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool! Makes me happy I do not have allergies, though.
ReplyDeleteNorth Carolina looks like a beautiful place, sorry about the season pollen's. Even living in the desert we have pollen to from pine trees. Thank you for hosting, Happy Spring!
ReplyDeleteWe are facing similar allergies here in NZ, with it being Autumn the wind is blowing dust and leaves around.
ReplyDeleteWhen we lived in the mountains of New Mexico the Pinyon Pines similarly produced large quantities of yellow pollen. Sometimes it streamed from the trees as if they were on fire.
ReplyDeleteI well know this, but our pines here are still not in bloom and, maybe, it will be not so much as in the past, because most of them are dead...it was to dry last 5 years.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Germany
We haven't started the pollen season yet, but I'm terrified that it's approaching. My son and I also have a strong pollen allergy ... :(
ReplyDeleteHave a fine week, Sue!
Achooo!!!!
ReplyDeleteWow! That is a lot of pollen. My heart feels for those with strong pollen allergy.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I am done complaining about the pollen here in the Northeast!
ReplyDeleteThat's quite amazing. Too bad for those who suffer from a pollen allergy? Thanks for the link again Sue.
ReplyDeletewow, not good for people who suffer from hay fever! Stay safe and enjoy your week and thank you again for the link up.
ReplyDeletewow... so much pollen ... must be difficult for people who have allergy.
ReplyDeletebeautiful images
That would not be great for me. Wow. That is serious. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteUgh! We get that here, too. It's rough on the allergies, and my blue car looks green right now. :)
ReplyDeleteYes! There is about a week every spring when the pollen feels like sand in my eyes.
ReplyDeleteSame thing happens here! South Texas.
ReplyDeleteGosh, I've never seen anything like that. Amazing nature, but must be difficult for people who are allergic to pine and pollen
ReplyDeleteWow! I am glad we don't get pollen like that!
ReplyDeleteThat stuff is dreadful and makes such a mess!
ReplyDeleteI've only seen that level of pollen once (in Georgia). So happy it's not quite like that here in New York State, as my husband has those types of allergies. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThis is sooooo amazing! Nature surpasses our imagination! ❤️🌳🌲🌳🌲
ReplyDeleteFirst time I see such a phenomena.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious, this pollen is used somehow?
Thank you for these images! I like the yellow on the red!
Happy WW!
Bees, insects, and birds spread pollen to keep our earth green and blooming, but I certainly haven't personally found a "use" for the thick coats of pollen that blanket North Caroline each spring!
DeleteHow pretty is this!
ReplyDeleteHad no idea pine pollen could look like this. Does it cause allergies too?
Having said that, it's such a huge step in propagation and keeping the ecosystem balanced.
Love and light!
