The last of these for a while, I promise!
The last couple of weeks I shared the drawings we made in the class I took on botanical drawing. This week I'll share my first few attempts without an instructor. Hope you can guess what I've drawn!

I think your drawings are wonderful and, more to the point, you obviously enjoy taking the class.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, you are amazing with sketches. I recognize a water lily, Crocus and I'm puzzled on the last one, but they are wonderful. Have you thought about marketing your sketches for print?
ReplyDeleteThank you for the party! Have a lovely week!
Crocus, magnolia, and lotus
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAlways more of this beautiful drawings. They are wonderful. The last could be a Magnolie.?. I believe.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter, to you, dear blogfriend.

Your flower sketches are all beautiful, Sue. Have you considered drawing them again and using watercolor to finish them in color? I think they are perfect for that and look even more beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy seeing your drawing and I know they would be so pretty colored and hung on a living room wall. Making the home more cozy.
ReplyDeleteA good idea from Glenda. You are so talented you should move into colours Sue. Great Link Up. Thanks Sue.
ReplyDeleteYou started out very well. I did not do well in recognizing the flowers, but this was due to my lack of knowledge rather than any deficit in your skill. Once others DI's them I found it easy! Missed the little bee on the Magnolia the first go-around. Recognized the shape of the seed pod in the lotus or water lily. Crocus is now thrusting up here in Connecticut.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing your artistry in bloom. Don't feel the need to stop (unless you're showing us photos of your cats - lol!)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're getting into this, hope it's relaxing for you.
ReplyDeleteit is official Sue, you are talented ;-). keep on good work.

Beautiful sketches Sue!
ReplyDeleteYour drawings are wonderful. Well done you! I always wanted to be a botanical artist, and have just been dabbling the last year or so. I really need to find a class. Enjoy, keep drawing, stay safe and thankyou again for the link up.
ReplyDeleteI'm not good with classifying plants, but I think it looks like a magnolia flower at different stages. I love all the drawings you've been sharing and I'm glad you're continuing even without the class.
ReplyDeleteIf you use pencils or drawing charcoal there is a fixing spray of the images, to keep them clean in time.
ReplyDeleteCongratulation! Definitely you must go on!
Be well and inspired!
Wow, you are doing amazing. Love them. So pretty for wall grouping.
ReplyDeleteYou are most talented. Beautiful.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful sketches! Worthy of hanging on the wall.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations ! you are on the good way they are really well done ! Drawing is very difficult, I think painting is easier. The worst for me was drawing hands !! Once we had to go in a retirement home and draw the old hands with a lot of wrinkles ! That was difficult !!
ReplyDeleteSuch a talent for drawing.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely lovely, if only I could draw like you! The hovering bee is cute.
ReplyDeleteSimply stunning Sue.
