A stroll through the cemetery

In Glendalough, Ireland there is a gorgeous area with an old cemetery with a remarkably well preserved "ring tower" and the ruins of an old church, and the priest's residence. Actually, as we walked along amidst the gravestones, we noticed that many of the stones were of recent vintage, but marked by mold from the damp climate that Ireland is so famous for. Fortunately, nature was kind to us and we saw very little rain during our travels.

  14. Love those old, old buildings and the headstones at the cemetery. In some ways creepy, but in other ways a nice way to remember those who lived long before we did.

  18. I really like your Glendalough pictures.
As for the linkup, I'm a little confused: The header says "Our photo linkup opens every Monday @ 10:00 AM EST & stays open all week long!"... and above the linkup it says "It's Tuesday somewhere, and that means it's time to join in with this week's Wordless Wednesday (on Tuesday) photo linkup party!"... I checked on different days last week to see if I could link my blog post, but every time I got the message "This link party has ended" and so far there hasn't been a new one. I hope everything is OK with you!
    All the best, Traude
