Duke Gardens memories

Unfortunately we need to rely on memories still - the gardens have been closed due to covid. I can't quite understand the logic there, I must admit...

It will be lovely when life returns to normal!

  2. We've visited Duke Gardens many times. It is a beautiful garden and fun place to visit. We were surprised that it was still closed as well, but I guess because it isn't public but privately owned through the college. Hope you are enjoying some pretty spring days! Take care.

  3. It's snowing here, again, so seeing blooming trees and flowers makes me anxious for spring to finally arrive!

  4. Such beautiful photos! It does seem a shame to shut the gardens when they could be a lovely escape for people. Possibly they are afraid of crowds?

  5. This wait for normality seems like watching paint dry.

  8. A splendorous garden. Not a very risky place outdoors for visitors who wear masks and practice social distancing. Too bad it continues to be shut down.

  9. The flowers are lovely! This situation is tiresome but fortunately it has improved because a year ago we weren't even allowed to leave our house

  13. I agree Sue. It is ridiculous to stop people using open spaces. Why do they treat us adults like naughty kids?
Thanks for the link again. Stay safe.

  14. whar a shame the gardens are closed due to Covid. Surely people can keep their distance in a garden. And I am sure the health benefits are worth it. Take care, stay safe, and enjoy your week, and thank you again for the link up.

  16. This is a beautiful garden. I feel they should open the garden and make sure that visitors keep their distance while in the garden or they can limit the number of visitors into the garden. It would help people to de-stress.

  17. I guess they want people social distancing and not everyone will do that, looks like a nice place though.

  19. Beautiful pictures. Most of our public gardens reopened last summer, but their buildings such as restrooms remain closed. I guess it is considered risky for the workers to clean them.

  20. Don't try to find a logic. Or if it is one it comes from an evil place...
The Nature is always amazing like in your images!
Happy WW and thank you for the linking!

  25. When trees bloom they make the surrounding so beautiful.

I too hope that normalcy is back soon. Though for it to happen we all need to be careful with self and others, unfortunately many of our failing here.

  26. Hello Sue,

Looks like lavendar/purple is the new black this season.

It's been a long haul with covid. We can just be grateful for all we have including memories and the nature that surrounds us.
