Seen on the Blue Ridge Parkway

These photos are from the archives. To be honest, I'm still reeling after the death of my husband. It has been a difficult week, but the kindness and prayers of family, friends, our church, the Daughters of Saint Francis de Sales, and those who commented on last week's post has helped.
Please protect yourself and others by taking the steps recommended by your government officials and the medical professionals. Take care of each other, and take care of yourselves. May God bless each of you.

  3. My heart continues to ache for you and you remain in my prayers. It takes a long time to move forward - as long as it takes - so be gentle with yourself and do whatever you need to take care of you. There is a wonderful program called Grief Share that you can look up on the Internet that I highly recommend if you would find it helpful for you at some point in your journey. Please don't hesitate to reach out if I can help... I am here for you. xoxo

  18. I just saw a comment from you on another blog, where I was commenting too. We must live somewhere in the same area, since the Folk Art Center is one of my favorite places on the Parkway. I'm so sorry to hear about your husband's death. I wish his life could have continued with you. Now I can get to know you, possibly, but not him. May your blogs continue so we can meet every once in a while here.
