Bushmills Distillery
So I admit that whiskey tastes like cough medicine to me, so I was less than enthusiastic about a tour of Bushmills... but the process is fascinating. After our tour, we had a whiskey tasting. True to my convictions, I gave mine to someone whose tastebuds were either more or less discerning than mine (depending on your point of view).

How funny! I don't drink whiskey either, but it is always interesting to learn how something is made.

We had wanted to tour Wyoming Whiskey, but the line was not open to visitors, just the purchasing room. I do from time to time like a shot over ice, and as the ice melts, the sips become more mellow. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteLove that chair made of a cask!
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you still enjoyed the tour, though.

ReplyDeleteLooks like it would be an interesting tour. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteI do like Irish whiskey but prefer Jamesons. We did visit Bushmills several years ago then went into the café and had some authentic Irish stew. Very warming on a cold damp day.
