One of the nice things about the area I live in is that there are over 60 miles of trails maintained by the county in a variety of settings. Most have a decidedly rural feel, despite being less than 20 miles from Philadelphia. I have fun trying to identify the things we find as we walk along. An app called "Lens" is usually pretty accurate, although horticulturists might disagree with what Lens says we saw yesterday.

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this beautiful restorative post and for hosting. Aloha!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, looks like Summer is coming along nicely there for you.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful wild flowers
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to have so much nature so close to the city.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos as always, Sue!
lot to explore on your walks.
ReplyDeleteLovely captures!
ReplyDeleteAwesome pics
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful place to explore! Melynda @scratchmadefood!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to always see such cute animals in your photos – in the previous post, Tommy, the sweet one 😻, and now the lovely pair of deer 🥰! I also like the variety of plants. By the way, I also use Google Lens when I'm unsure about plants or certain insects. And the Merlin app for bird calls... I wouldn't have thought there would be so much nature so close to Philly – but I know how exhilarating it is. We live not far from Vienna, and there are always beautiful nature experiences here, too. (But a big city with culture within easy reach doesn't hurt, right? 😉)

Beautiful spring photos, Sue!
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely photos, Sue! I was working from home the other day, and my office mates on the back deck included some deer, a rabbit, and some squirrels. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your walk with us.
ReplyDeleteSo very beautiful. That is a super beautiful walk. Very lovely.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of all the flowers. We often get deer in our fields, but they jump in over the hedges and pull the electric fence down which stops the horses from trying to get out.
